This a non-profit organization that promotes and rescues dogs scheduled for euthanasia.
Tennessee Death Row Dogs was founded by Jamie Hawkins in August of 2011 simply as a Facebook page. The page was created to have one place where shelters across Tennessee could have their urgent dogs posted. Her hope was that once the page grew in followers, more and more people would check the page when looking for a new dog. She also hoped that rescues would be able to use the page as a tool to find the most urgents dogs in the state, all in one location. The idea was that if these condemned dogs could be networked and shared by thousands of people, their odds of making it out of the shelter alive would be greatly increased.
